GPB's Georgia Outdoors - Bees

This past weekend someone sent me an interesting video made to cover the basics of bees and beekeeping in Georgia. Through beautiful videography, the mini-documentary interviews local influential beekeepers who detail their passion for bees in a truly inspiring way. I just got out to the hives yesterday, but I'm already antsy to get back out there and spend time with those lovely ladies.

The video is fully worth the watch; check it out  here!

The Law Farm Podcast: Honey Bee 101

An exciting opportunity came up in my life a few weeks ago, that I just could not pass up - I was invited to speak on a podcast.

I have been struggling to find a way to start this blog for a while now (almost two years) and it seems like the perfect introduction to who I am and what I plan to accomplish with Southeast Beescapes.

The Law Farm Podcast is hosted by Michelle Namer, an Atlanta-based lawyer with an interest in food systems and learning how she could use her knowledge and experience to help small-scale farmers and agriculturalists of all kinds.

I must say I was nervous at first. I'm a huge fan of podcasts so I wanted to get this right. Michelle was very gracious, comforting, and asked really great questions. We covered so much, from how bees make honey, to the struggles of starting your own business. It was a great interview and I encourage you to check it out, as well as all of the other Law Farm Podcast episodes.

The Law Farm Podcast episodes can be found here.

Until next time,
